Scripture to Read: Daniel 12:10
In Daniel 12:10, God gave an answer to the contrast between the righteous and the wicked, as it says, “Many will be purged, purified and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.” The “many” is often used as a reference to the nation of Israel. We see this in Daniel 9:27 and Daniel 11:33. God reveals that the nation of Israel, the survivors, will be converted to Christ, as recorded in Romans 11:26, “So all Israel will be saved.” God pours out His grace in unprecedented ways, for not only will the nation of Israel experience salvation, but Gentiles will be saved as well. God reveals this in Revelation 7:9, “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands.”—and also in Revelation 7:13–14, “Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?” 14 I said to him, ‘My lord, you know.’ And he said to me, ‘These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.’” God will use the tribulation to lead many to surrender to Christ as Lord, but until that time, we must continue making disciples.
